George has been a Realtor for over 50 years, currently part of TradeMark Realty Group and former CEO and president of Susquehanna Savings and Loan, George P. Sailus has been a consultant in business and real estate development. George began his financial career as a graduate of Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. As CEO at Susquehanna Savings he took the holdings from $87,000 to $260 million. Since his retirement from Susquehanna Savings in 1981, George has been specializing in commercial, industrial and residential real estate sales.
As fixture in the community George has spent his life making people’s dreams come true, granting mortgages to thousands of new home owners and helping people own their own homes. He has been a key volunteer in the community serving on the Agnes Flood Task Force, the Wilkes Barre Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus, Wilkes Barre Kiwanis and the Boy Scouts of America. He was the original president of Ecumenical Enterprises, Inc. (EEI), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing health care and housing for the elderly and low-income.
